Should the Dems Win in November Then

Wed Oct 04, 2006 at 06:38:34 PM PDT

If the Democratic party takes back Congress in November, it will face a president who will forum-shift to get his will, from Congress to the Supreme Court; who will get his will also via executive orders, as he has done before; and who may very well use the all war all the time power Congress gave him to bomb and nuke around the world.  He'll also veto all legislation presented by a Democratic Congress.
What Congress can do, should the Democrats recover it in November, is (1) withhold funding for the war and other destructive projects; (2)hold hearings on various interesting subjects; (3)prepare the agenda for 2008. (4) prepare the candidate for 2008.

(3) The agenda is most important, in my view.  I also think that funding a cooperative effort with the rest of the globe on global warming is the string that pulls the can that tumbles the whole wall down.  We must also get Clean Money and a return of the Fairness Doctrine, get the Judas corporations to start paying their taxes again, and clean up the Augean stable scale mess that this bunch of - citizens - has made of the Constitution.

But be certain that the global economy will bite us in the derriere; and know that the GOP is neither down nor out.

And be certain that this president has the military might and the insanity to wreak incredible destruction.  Henry Kissinger once counselled President Nixon to not nuke Viet Nam. Thank you, Henry.  Can you drug this idiot Christian president into a stupor that will prevent him from nuking anything on the great globe we live on?  I fear he wants to, because he keeps talking about God, commas, and periods.
